I represent the Lennox Heritage Society based in Dumbarton and covering the Vale of Leven to Old Kilpatrick. It is really only through conferences and functions that we get to know of what other groups are doing even in the same area. It would be great to have the programmes of the various groups (as already in the journal and others), on this site with contact details, so that we can share views and information. We have talks on the evening of the 3rd week of the month from October through to April. It is nearly the end of that for this season, but here are the next topics: Wednesday, April 21st Bob Green : The story of the Maid of the Loch. Bob takes us through the history of the paddle steamer and the many years the Trust has been working to restore it. We all know the Maid. Now hopefully nearing its return to the open water, we are given insight into its story. This is a prominent feature on Loch Lomond. The Lennox Heritage Society AGM will precede this talk.
