Govan High School Archive
About this Organisation

Introduction
In 2010, Govan High School celebrated its Centenary. A book about the school's history was produced and a number of events held. This culminated in an Archive being set up in 2010 by the former School Librarian, who took early retirement in the same year.
Scope
The Archive's main focus is the history of the school and its former pupils. There is also an increasing collection of resources on the history of the local area. The Archivist is proactive in seeking information to add to the Archive, and liaises with a number of local organisations. Contact with former pupils is mainly through a closed group on Facebook (with more than 1200 members). Photographs of school events, sports, excursions etc are posted there both by the Archivist and by former pupils themselves.
