ACFA, formerly the Association of Certificated Field Archaeologists, was founded in 1987 by graduates of the Higher Education Certificate in Field Archaeology, Glasgow University. Since then our members have acquired a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience in archaeological field survey and archival research. We have conducted surveys across Scotland from The Borders to the Western Isles. Applications are welcome from anyone with an interest in the practice of field archaeology, survey or research with or without experience. At ACFA we learn by doing.
