Castle House Museum

About this Organisation

Castle House Museum encourages visitors to experience the history and tradition of Dunoon and Cowal from Neolithic settlers, through Highland clan battles, Victorian expansion and the Clyde steamers in their heyday to both World Wars and the Cold War.

The Museum immerses the visitor's senses in historical reconstructions, interactive exhibits, an extensive photo archive and a cornucopia of original memorabilia. Our friendly staff and volunteers love to share memories, stories and local knowledge with visitors and researchers alike.

Opening hours: 10 am - 4 pm Mon - Sat from Easter to October.
