Dundee City Archives administers records of the council and its predecessors, principally the former Dundee District Council, Dundee Town Council/Corporation as well as the former Tayside Regional Council. The City Archives also holds a variety of privately deposited collections relating to businesses, churches, organisations and individuals in the present Dundee City Council area, including records of the Caledon and Gourlay shipyards, Dundee Harbour Trust, Keillers, etc.
