About this Organisation

Part of the University of Edinburgh's Information Services, Edina's work includes bibliographic databases, geospatial services and cultural resources.

We provide the Statistical Accounts of Scotland online service, giving access to parish reports authored by local ministers in the 1790s and 1840s.

Tobar an Dualchais website contains several thousand hours of Gaelic and Scots recordings. A wealth of material such as folklore, songs, music, history, poetry, traditions and stories is available. The material has been collected from all over Scotland and beyond from the 1930s onwards.
