The Gellet Society

About this Organisation

A local history and heritage group for Charlestown, Limekilns & District.

The Gellet Society was formed in October 1990 to allow residents of the local community with an interest in local history and heritage, to meet on a monthly basis.

The Society organises a speaker for each meeting and takes an active role in archiving information such as old photographs of the area and anything to do with the industrial heritage of the villages.

The Gellet Society meetings take place in the Queens Hall, Charlestown, KY11 3EG.
Starts at 19:00 hrs. every second Thursday of the month September through April.
