Glasgow Life - the Mitchell Library

About this Organisation

The Special Collections department is part of The Mitchell Library’s Family History Centre.

We work with partners - Glasgow City Council’s Registrars Genealogy Service and Glasgow City Archives – to deliver cohesive, comprehensive and high-quality local and family history services for the West of Scotland. Each partner retains its distinct identity and role, while aiming for the ‘best fit’ for customers. Our shared location improves customers’ access to resources, sustaining momentum for individuals carrying out prolonged research.
