North Walls & Brims, Orkney, One-Place Study

About this Organisation

An ongoing work to put the people of North Walls and Brims in the context of their place, which is part of the parish of Walls and Flotta, in the island of Hoy, Orkney.

Begun as a project to study my own ancestors against the wider background of the 1861 census for North Walls and Brims, it has grown from there, fitfully at times.
