Bernera Iron Age Artefacts

About this Resource

An Iron age village was found at Bosta Beach on Great Bernera during a storm in the mid 1990's. This village was dug during 1996 and some of the artefacts are on display in the local community Bernera Museum, along with further information on the Iron Age settlement on Great Bernera, Isle of Lewis. There is also a community reconstruction of one of the Iron Age House at Bosta that is open to the public in the summer and operated by Bernera Historical Society.
