Journey through the history of drinking in Scotland with Anthony Cooke. Public drinking places played an important and controversial role in Scottish society over the centuries, providing space for life rituals such as birth, marriage and death. They also provoked a backlash in the form of the temperance movement.

Hosted by the National Library of Scotland in association with the Scottish Local History Forum.
