You are warmly invited to attend the Adversaries to Allies: Am Bràist Latharna / the Brooch of Lorn study day on Sat 27 June 2026.

Hear from Dr Sarah Laurenson, Principal Curator of Modern and Contemporary History at National Museum of Scotland; Ronnie Black, director of the Dewar Project (www.dewarproject.com); Catherine Gillies, (retired) heritage consultant; and Jamie MacGregor, Heritage Engagement and Access Officer at Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds on the history and significance of the beautiful Brooch of Lorn.

Participants will visit the display of the replica Brooch in Inveraray Castle and may choose to join a tour of the Castle.

This event will be chaired in Gaelic and English by the Culture, Heritage and Arts Assembly, Argyll and Isles (CHARTS) Oifigear Cultair Ghàidhlig Àdhamh Ó Broin .
