Event details: Carrick's Gaelic ‘Otherworld’. Talk by Michael Ansell, Independent Scholar.

Michael Ansell is an independent researcher and seasoned hill walker who knows the landscapes of Galloway and Carrick like the soles of his boots. He has created a remarkable database of over 13,000 Carrick place-names with their meanings and linguistic origins. His talk will focus on the Gaelic ‘otherworld’ in Carrick.
