We’re kicking off Glorious Gardens with two special symposium events - including short talks from experts in garden history and archaeology, introducing how to go about recording and researching historic landscapes and gardens. After a buffet lunch, we’ll head outside in small groups and see what we can deduce about the designed landscapes surrounding each house.

These are free of charge and open to anyone wanting to learn more about the project, talk to the experts and meet like-minded people. We are looking for volunteers with a range of interests and abilities - no previous experience necessary!
