Association of Certificated Field Archaeologists

About

We are a membership organisation made up of people who completed the Glasgow University Certificate in Field Archaeology (and others who have been involved in our projects). We were founded in 1987.

We carry out field archaeological surveys across Scotland and aim to publish the results of our work in monographs and, occasionally, in books. Recent publications include a book on Eaglesham and one on Raasay and we are currently undertaking significant survey work in Tiree, Luing, Halterburn, Newton Mearns, the Campsies and completing publication of a long standing survey in Glen Lochay.

We hold bi-annual meetings for members and publish a regular newsletter.
