The Society encourages and advances the education of the public in the knowledge of local history, particularly as regards Colinton and districts within its historical parish.

The Society meets during the winter months between late September to late April, every alternative Monday evening at the Loan Hall, Dreghorn Loan, Colinton, Edinburgh at 8pm.
