New Clan Gunn website and Clan Gunn history booklet

News

A new Clan Gunn website has been published - see http://clangunn.weebly.com [1]

The site is dedicated to the academic basis of Gunn history and so directly challenges the myths which are the basis of current Clan Gunn history. Is there an Orkney Islands link for the Clan Gunn? No. Were there Clan Gunn chiefs? Probably not and if there were they were MacRobs for a few generations. You get the idea - the myths which are the core of current Clan Gunn history are thoroughly explored and most are found to have no academic basis.

A booklet called 'Key issues for a Clan Gunn history' has also just been published; details can be found on the site.

Well worth a look for those interested in Clan histories or Caithness / Sutherland / Strathnaver history.
