Grandad's Story in WW1

About

I am a retired university lecturer and my project has been to research my late grandfather's world war one army record and his time fighting as a soldier in France. He was twice injured there and returned to duty on both occasions after hospital stays. The latter part of 'his war' was spent in the BEF in Germany before he finally returned home to Scotland in 1919. I have completed extensive research documenting extracts from war diaries and books about the relevant battles in France in which he was engaged. He was an 'ordinary' soldier although for a time when he was in Germany, he became a sergeant. It is both a military and a personal account of a life in an important period in British and world history.
My grandfather, Thomas Sneddon Paterson, was born 26th April 1896 in New Monkland, Airdrie and died 17th January 1982 in Rochdale, Lancashire. I wondered if this now completed project, (over 16,000 words including pictures, some photographs, extracts from war diaries and his service records), would be of interest to students in Scottish schools and colleges studying this period of history. As a former educator I regard it as a potentially useful resource and would be happy to share it.
