About this Resource
The service at the Edinburgh Campus includes the archive of the University and the predecessor bodies Heriot-Watt College, the Watt Institution and the School of Arts dating back to 1821.
Additional collections include records relating to James Watt, Leith Nautical College and Carfrae Morrison surveyors.
Local history collections relating to Riccarton and the surrounding areas of Currie, Juniper Green and Balerno include the Gibson-Craig estate papers, John Tweedie research papers and over 5000 photographs.
