It’s Changed Days Now, Right Enough
About this Resource
East Lothian aural history slide-tape on farming, fishing, and mining.
People whose families have lived and worked in East Lothian for generations compare life as it was then with life as it is now.
A multi-projector slide-tape transferred onto video, photographed and directed by David Halliday of Film Workshop Trust in 1981 with sound production by Pete Gregson. This film chronicles the changes in East Lothian brought about in farming, fishing and coal-mining over the 100 years previous. A beautiful and moving documentary of lives past and present. Based on research by Stella Elsdale and Pat Fitzgerald of Edinburgh’s Theatre Workshop.
