Back in the Day: Memories of Creich, Flisk and Kilmany 2024 is the second annual publication by the Creich, Flisk and Kilmany Historical Group, celebrating the rich heritage of these North Fife communities. Building on the success of its first edition, the 2024 volume explores the theme "The Land and Its Many Uses," bringing together personal recollections, historical research, photographs and local stories that document the changing relationship between people and the rural landscape.

The magazine offers a vivid account of agricultural life across the twentieth century, tracing the transformation from horse-powered, labour-intensive farming to modern mechanised agriculture. Contributors share first-hand memories of farm work, rural communities, wartime food production, and the social traditions that shaped everyday life, highlighting both the hardships and the strong sense of community that once characterised the countryside.

Alongside farming, the publication explores other aspects of local history, including the rise and decline of the railway network that once connected the villages, the history of the hamlet of Brunton, ancient hill forts and archaeological features, curling ponds, local schools, poetry inspired by the landscape, and personal reminiscences spanning several generations.
