Bruach Caorrainn and Other Abandoned Farming Settlements

When & Where

Wednesday, 6 April 2016 - 7:30pm to 9:00pm
Kinlochard Village Hall, Kinlochard, Stirling, FK8 3TL

Event Details

Right on our doorsteps in Loch Ard Forest and of great local interest, Braechurnmor has been described by RCAHMS as one of the most interesting examples of a pre-clearance Township in Stirlingshire.

We are privileged to have an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable speaker in the shape of Archaeologist and passionate local historian, Jenny Robertson, who carried out the archaelogical survey of the site for the recent hydro-scheme application.

The evening will enlighten us not only on the extensive remains of Big Bruach Caorrainn township but also on other similar sites in rural Scotland
