Event Details

Meetings are held every 4th Thursday each month at 7.45pm at the Drymen Village Hall. Subscription: £5 per
annum; admission to a single meeting £2.

Forthcoming programme is:

27 November Derek Alexander will give an illustrated talk on “Bannockburn,
the Centre, the Battle and New Discoveries”.

22 January Dr W.W. Knox will speak on Education and Opportunity in 19th Century Scotland.

26 February Dr Alastair Durie will speak on Friendly Societies. (Drymen had two, the Oddfellows and the
Foresters).

26th March Olive Geddes will give a talk on the Hammermen of Perth and the Records of Trades
Incorporations in the National Library of Scotland.

23 April Members’ Night: short talks by members of the Society, followed by our AGM.
