Event Details

These free, online meetings are for anyone with an interest in mill heritage, millwrighting skills, and milling culture.

Join us online in June for a talk by Graham Brooks, Chair of Warwick Bridge Community Benefit Society in Carlisle, as he asks, ‘Can a watermill be operated profitably?’.

Graham will introduce the history of the Grade II Listed mill, including its renovation in 2019, before diving into the successes and challenges the Community Benefit Society has faced over the last 6 years operating as a community corn mill and bakery. As usual, there will be the opportunity to share thoughts, insights, and network following Graham’s talk.
