Saturday 12 July - Edinburgh Archaeological Field Society invites you to their Open Day at the late 17th century Cammo Estate, Barnton, Edinburgh, where the society has been uncovering the secrets of the walled garden and landscaped grounds since 2017. There will be guided walking tours, an opportunity to try your hand at excavation and finds on display. Everyone is very welcome, as are dogs.
From Edinburgh City Centre (Princes Street), you can take the 43 bus to Braehead Avenue and walk to the park from there, or you can take the X54, X55, X56, X59 or X60 to Barnton Junction and walk from there.
There is a free car park on Cammo Walk, and another on Cammo Road. Toilet facilities are available in Cammo Estate Lodge.
