The first talk in Crail Museum's 2026 season will be on Friday 15th May 2026 at 7:30pm in Crail Kirk Hall.
"Painted Links: An Exploration of the History of Golf in Scotland Through Art" by Hannah Fleming, Learning & Access Curator, R&A World Golf Museum.
Delve into the rich visual history of golf through the art collections of the R&A Club and Museum. Featuring a curated selection of works, this lecture will showcase portraits of prominent figures, landscapes of St Andrews and beyond and give an overview of the development of the sport from its earliest beginning to the present day. Discover how artists have captured the evolving spirit, traditions, and personalities of golf across centuries, offering a unique view into the sport's cultural and historical legacy.
Tickets can be purchased in advance in the Museum or online, or on the door at the Kirk Hall from 7pm.
Tickets cost £5 and include tea, coffee or soft drink.
