The Gellet Society was formed in October 1990 to allow residents of the local community with an interest in local history and heritage, to meet monthly.
The Society organises a speaker for each meeting and takes an active role in
archiving information such as old photographs of the area and anything to do with the industrial heritage of the
villages.
The Gellet Society meetings take place in the Queens Hall, Charlestown, KY11 3EG.
