In August 2019, The 1745 Association commemorated the 330th anniversary of the Battle of Dunkeld (August 1689) in the grounds of Dunkeld Cathedral which was the site of the most intense fighting during the engagement. A 27-minute video of the event produced by The 1745 Association, "Remembering Dunkeld", has been uploaded on YouTube at:

Their commemoration was intended to raise awareness of the day when the ancient city of Dunkeld was destroyed in a terrible conflagration. This was a cathartic moment in Scottish and British history. The great cathedral of Dunkeld serves as an enduring memorial to the importance of tolerance and understanding, and the dangers of the alternative.
As George Santayana observed, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
