A Family Life Revealed: The Stuarts at Traquair, 1491 - 1875 - offer of a talk
Catherine Maxwell Stuart, 21st Lady of Traquair, and Margaret Fox, her archivist, are now giving talks based on their 2012 publication 'A Family Life Revealed: The Stuarts at Traquair, 1491 - 1875'. Their richly illustrated talk tells the dramatic story of this remarkable family and covers its associations with Mary Queen of Scots, Charles I and the Jacobites as well as touching on some lighter moments. It draws heavily on their study of the family archives preserved at Traquair, many of which feature in the talk - allowing family members from past centuries to tell their stories in their own words.
If any society would be interested in a talk to their members, please contact Margaret on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01721 729984.
